New Yorker couple celebrating their classy wedding at the foot of the Carpathian mountains

Mountain wedding with a breathtaking scenery and a historic castle as a backdrop.

The couple chose this breathtaking scenery in the heart of Transylvania not only because of her roots, but also because they both are big nature lovers and there is no place they would rather be. For this, they flew all the way from New York, where they live and work, and instead of planning a choreographed wedding, they enjoyed the presence of their guests, the music and this majestic view. In the end, this classy and small wedding went just as they planned. If you put great people, good food and good music in a beautiful place, everything will flow just nicely.

Whenever I document a destination wedding, I am trying to spend at least one day to discover the flora, fauna, kitchen, people and architecture of the place I am travelling to. Provence pleased all my senses.... It spoiled me from the beginning and I have to confess: I could image to get old in one of these enchanting small villages, eating funny smelling cheese and watching the dance of cypresses in the warm evening wind.

So let me take you on this journey under the welcoming sun of Provence, where - as always - I ate, drank, lived fully and thanked again for being a part of this majestic world.
